Danny Barber is a stone carver/sculptor who started his career in stone-work at his family’s monument business in St. Catharines On., working under his grandfather and father. He studied in England as an Architectural stone carver earning the Higher National Certificate and the National Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Architectural carving and Restoration. Danny is based in Ottawa and works for Parliamentary Services and Procurement Canada on the Dominion Sculpture, Decorative Arts Team. He founded the Canadian Stone Carving Festival in 2010 which continues to build craft fellowship, raise public awareness about stone carving and support for charity.
