Alison Creba

In her professional and academic work, Alison addresses themes of stewardship, care and the interconnection between physical and cultural spaces. At Willowbank, Alison teaches courses on Sustainability and Business Models in Heritage Conservation. These courses are informed by her experience as a Building Operations Manager, where she works to maintain existing building functions in heritage structures while also considering sustainable practices. As the founder and principal investigator at Local Technique, Alison researches themes of demolition, deconstruction and displacement, tracing possible futures and entangled pasts of sites, structures and materials. In addition to this, Alison is a member of the City of Toronto’s Circular Economy Network.
