First Nations full moon ceremony:
Gathering at Willowbank to honour grandmother moon and the cycle of life. Ceremony facilitated by Native Elders. This particular full moon ceremony will acknowledge and welcome the Spring time energies.
Tobacco will be placed in the fire and there will be drumming and singing. Wear warm clothes as this is a mostly outdoor event. Women are asked to wear long skirts. Bring your own drum if you wish. You may bring your own sacred bundle (tobacco/sage/crystals), water and potluck dish. At the end of the ceremony the water is known as moon water and can be used as a medicine throughout the month.
This moon ceremony is open to everyone and is a very family friendly event.
No alcohol allowed.
