Coming in 2021
Since 1834, WILLOWBANK has long been known for its significance as a National Historic treasure, epitomizing the Colonial period in Canada.
WILLOWBANK has created travel-based educational programming where our emphasis is to reach deeper into the physical presence of WILLOWBANK and to share our physical story relating back some 500 million years to the creation of the Niagara Escarpment. In addition, we will offer small retreat groups workshop retreats related to the ‘Common Grounds’, shared with our Indigenous communities dating back some 11,000 years.
The content of the workshops will also include the historic importance of WILLOWBANK the establishment of Upper Canada in 1791; the War of 1812, the Hannah and Alexander Hamilton legacy 1834 through 1934; and then the Bright family years beginning in 1934 into the 1960s.
We want to share the story of WILLOWBANK
Full Weekend, full day and half day programs and workshops will be available.
